The ordering process

0. Get a quote: Send us a brief description of what you have in mind to enquiries@yourmodelyourway.co.uk   or use the form in the Contact page or the Order Forms on the right, we will then discuss your ideas and send you a quote. You will also have the choice of including a personalised gift box with your gift, keepsake or cake topper at a small extra cost of £2.
0. Send payment: Once you decide to go for it, full payment will be required before any work can commence on your personalised gift, keepsake or cake topper. For orders made more than 3 months a 20% non-refundable deposit will be required at the time of ordering and full payment will be required at a later date. Payment can be sent by cheque, Postal Order or via Paypal.
0. Send us your detailed description: This is the most important part of the process, a good detailed description translates into an amazing unique gift, keepsake or cake topper. So we encourage you to put enough thought into this. From our experience, what works best is to put toguether a small document with all your thoughts and descriptions and some pictures. But how you do this is entirely up to you.
0. Relax and wait for the post-man, we'll be working our magic...: we will keep you updated of the process of your personalised gift, keepsake or cake topper. Alternatively visit us on Facebook to be kept updated of the latest projects and promotions.
0. SURPRISE! You'll receive your gift, keepsake or Cake Topper. Please let us know what you think and we are always happy to see your lovely pictures with your toppers.

The Price List

All prices are indicative and may vary depending on the specifications of your personalised gift, keepsake or cake topper.

Things to bear in mind

At Your Model Your Way we do not try to create an exact representation of the reality but to capture ‘your essence’ in our little cute keepsakes and cake toppers. In order to do so we would like you to give us a brief physical description of the special persons you want in the model, such as hair colour, hair style, glasses..., but to go one step further we would also like to know something more about them, what makes them unique; any passions, hobbies, or their very own favourite ‘something’. If you prefer you can provide us with a picture, but remember that our models are not exact representations of reality.

When your order is confirmed the full payment will be required before any work can commence. When ordering more than 3 months in advance a 20% non-refundable deposit will be required.

When the timeframe allows it, we will send you a picture of the final model before being hardened to make sure you are happy with the result (unless you trust us and prefer a lovely surprise :P). Generally changes cannot be made when it has been hardened. 

 When to order

Your figurine or cake topper will be handmade according to your description so you should allow at least 15 days to receive your model. However we strongly recommend you book your slot as soon as possible even if you do not have the full description of what you’d like in order to avoid disappointment. 

Size and style

The keepsakes and cake toppers are approximately 12 cm (~5 inches) however this may vary from model to model. Should you require an specific size, please do let us know when you order.

We have posted some pictures of our latest creations in the Photo Gallery, remember that although the style of the characters will be consistent with the pictures shown, you are not limited to any of these layouts. Only our imagination sets the limits so feel free to contact us to discuss your ideas.
